LOFTS 1 | 11/21/25

The first installment to the Live from the LOFTS series, LOFTS 1 is arguably the most pivotal moment in my career as an artist thus far. Maybe I’m looking back at this event behind a veil of nostalgia, but I truly feel this marked the point of no-return, of commitment to my craft as a complete embodiment of who I am. Although I’m not the most result-oriented type of person, I will admit that the response to my creative offering and vulnerability helped solidify that this was the right direction for me. I felt beyond blessed to have over 40 people come fill out this studio apartment on a Friday night, proof of some intangible backbone that supports and cares for me not only as an artist but as man.

Performance-wise, LOFTS 1 was pretty novice: lots of last minute writing, random hiccups during the set, as well as many moments of subpar singing scattered throughout. Yet, the point of LOFTS 1 was not to be perfect, rather just to bring about a start. And indeed a start it was.

Luckily, there is a handful of footage that I’ll link below, so I can save my words of describing the set and just let the clips tell it all. Additionally, I’ll include a link to my good good friend Ethan Kim’s documentary that he made surrounding this project and the concepts behind it. And lastly, I’ll include a link to the page for the second installment of the LOFTS series.

{postscript} thank you, God.
